"We developed a custom shelving system precisely calibrated to the proportions of the product." – Andy Bernheimer
Situated in the historic Hancock Park neighborhood, our Larchmont apothecary marked our first foray into the city of Los Angeles. Designed by Brooklyn-based architect Andrew Bernheimer, this space was influenced by the modernist case study houses peppering the slopes of Southern California.
A gridded shelving system that drew inspiration from Piet Mondrian and Charlotte Perriand frames the space, matched with an identical pattern etched onto an opposing wall. An old haberdashery table from a Hudson antique shop anchors the space and provides a counterpoint to the contemporary interiors.
